I purchased both of these on iherb for $5.31 each, although I now realized that I could buy both from Whole Foods for $4.99! I do, however, recommend using iherb. I have been satisfied so far with my purchases – they even have sent me samples with my purchases!!
First of all, I’ll speak about the regular PB2. I have seen posts with PB2 all over instagram. At first, I had no idea what it was. After doing some research, I found out that what it is is peanut butter powder. You mix 2 tablespoons of the PB2 powder and 1 tablespoon of water (or some kind of liquid – I use water), and this makes “peanut butter.” It does not taste like actual peanut butter, but it tastes darn good! It does taste like peanuts, which is great! Totally what I was looking for! In two tablespoons, there’s 45 calories, 13 fat calories, 1.5grams of fat, 3 active grams of carbs (5g of carbs, 2 grams of fiber), 1 gram of sugar, and 5 grams of protein. Those nutrition facts had me on my seat awaiting my package! I first put PB2 in a bowl of greek yogurt, which tasted really great! I also have added it into a bowl of quinoa (which I treated like oatmeal) and also in a bowl of oatmeal. It’s great with fruits, as well. I definitely recommend this product! It has protein, is low in fats, and is low in calories! TRY IT!!
Now, I’ll speak about the chocolate PB2. Okay, I was really looking forward to tasting a chocolatey low-calorie peanut butter! Although this does not taste all that much like chocolate, whatever it tastes like it still really good. I can’t figure out how to explain/describe the taste, but all I can say is: if you’re going to try PB2, you might as well try this, too. The nutritional information is very similar, and it tastes great in all of the same things.
My next recipe that I am going to try these products in is a peanut sauce! Mmm!
