Food, food, food: UPDATE!

October 18, 2012 by ibelieveinyoutoo

GAH! I am SO busy with my show lately. For real, guys!

I don’t think anyone actually looks at my blog yet, but for those of you who do, my apologies!

October 14, 2012 (Color Run day):

You all saw my breakfast, so here’s my lunch:

We went to Yolk for a celebratory lunch! I love this place! It’s so freaking good! I got the California Omelette made with egg whites. It has garlic, avocado, tomatoes, green scallions, mushrooms, and cheese on top! They gave me so much fruit with it, too! Grapes, oranges, honey dew, and pineapple! I shared the fruit with my friend because it was so much! I also dipped the omelette in hot sauce. Mmm mm mmm!

This was really good – it was definitely an experiment that went well!
-Nasoya Shirataki spaghetti (20 calories per 2/3cup serving)

-Chopped sauteed vegetables (cabbage, mushrooms, onions, jicama, carrots, broccoli, and green pepper)
-Rustico Pasta Sauce from Trader Joe’s
-Toppings: 1/4 small fresh avocado and low-fat mozzarella
I drained the noodles in the sink in a colander, then heated them in the microwave for just a minute. Then I sauteed the vegetables in EVOO. When they were nearly done, I cut up the shirataki noodles a little bit and added them to the pan. I added my pasta sauce, sriracha, and spices (garlic powder and pepper). I let these things cook for a couple minutes. Then I topped them with my cheese and avocado.

-Vanilla all-natural Brown Cow greek yogurt
-1/2 T pumpkin butter from Trader Joe’s (OH LAWD, SO GOOD!)
-A little Monkey Business trail mix from Trader Joe’s

October 16, 2012:

I attempted to make some protein pancakes with a recipe a girl on IG posted. But it FAILED. 😦 So I had this:

-2/3c Greek Gods Non-fat Plain Greek Yogurt
-1/4c unsweetened apple sauce from Trader Joe’s
-1/4 scoop Isopure Dutch chocolate protein powder
-7 drops Vanilla NuNaturals Stevia
-some peanuts
-Bear Naked Banana Nut Trail Mix

I needed to do some meal prep for between two classes! Remember: Fail to plan = plan to fail!!! So I made a wrap:
-1 La Tortilla Factory Low-carb High-fiber tortilla
-1/2T pumpkin butter from Trader Joe’s (BUY IT!!!!)
-1T and 1t Chocolate PB2
With a small pear on the side! DELICIOUSNESS!

Then I had some coffee while writing down recipes!!:

-French Roast Flavia Coffee
-1.5T organic half&half from Trader Joe’s
-2T Pumpkin Spice Sugar-Free Torani Syrup
-2 shakes of pumpkin pie spice

-Leftover Shirataki spaghetti dish (from 2 days ago)
-Topped with 1/4 fresh avocado, reduced fat feta, and chicken marinated in sriracha! Here’s how I made the chicken:

1) Defrost one lean, boneless, skinless chicken breast.
2) Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
3) Cut up the chicken breast into small pieces.
4) Place the pieces in a bowl, squirt sriracha on the pieces, and mix. (I did this with my hands.)
5) Put the chicken on a baking sheet. (Either grease the baking sheet or cover it with foil.)
6)Bake it for roughly 10-12 minutes! ENJOY!

Enjoy my food porn, people!
